With a degree in Economics and Business, Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo became interested in contemporary art as a collector in the early 1990s. Her passion for art became a structured activity when in 1995 she founded Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, of which she is President. In 2017, she set up the Fundación Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Madrid. She holds many positions in international institutions, including the MoMa in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, the New Museum in New York, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Bard College in New York. Since 2014 she has been President of the Contemporary Art Foundations Committee. She is also President of Fondazione IEO-CCM (European Institute of Oncology - Monzino Cardiology Centre).
