After completing her studies in scientific fields and and subsequently specializing in graphic design and illustration, Laura Borghi (Milan, 1967) spontaneously began to develop a strong interest in ceramics, also experimenting its practice thanks to the encounter with established international artists. In 2011 she began to develop Officine Saffi project and in the same years nurtured a deep friendship and intellectual exchange with gallerist Anita Besson. Laura's commitment to building a significant and evolving collection, together promoting an open to public program of exhibitions, courses, educational activities, publications and events, guarantees Officine Saffi a key role in the dissemination of contemporary ceramic’s culture. The recent transormation of Officine Saffi into a cultural foundation, coming together with the project of a new headquarter, strengthen Laura's mission to expand an international network where to activate dialogue and exchange between artists, audiences and institutions around the ceramics discourse.
