François Mellé
Executive Director Fondazione Officine Saffi
Graduating in History of Art at Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna with a focus on Contemporary Art, and in Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, François Mellé began his career in the ArtVerona team where, as VIP Manager, he managed relations with collectors, museums, curators and journalists. After several experiences in international art galleries, since 2016 he has contributed to the programming and activities of Fondazione Officine Saffi, where he specialises in the grey area between contemporary art, collectible design and quality craftsmanship. In 2020 he was appointed Executive Director of the Foundation, curating exhibition planning, collaborations with international institutions, and educational and publishing programmes. In 2021 he co-founded Officine Saffi Lab, a consulting, design, and production studio connecting artists, designers and brands with ceramic culture.
