About the artist
Jacopo Belloni, born in 1992 in Ancona, he lives and works between Rome and Geneva. In his artistic practice enquires the process of” theatricalizaion” of contemporary reality. Through sculptures, installations and performances he plays with marginal evidences of our society to stage its perceptual, symbolic and narrative constructs. Jacopo Belloni graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan (2014) and from the University of Milan (2018) and holds an MFA from HEAD, Geneva (2021). Belloni has presented his works in international exhibition spaces and institutions, including Palazzo delle Esposizioni, (Rome, IT); Sans Titre (Paris, FR); ADA (Rome, IT); Aargauer Kunsthaus, (Aarau, CH); Centre d’Art Contemporain de la Ferme du Buisson (Marne-la-Vallée, FR); Kunsthalle Bern (Bern, CH); Forde, (Geneva, CH); Istituto Svizzero (Rome, IT); Palazzo Re Rebaudengo, (Guarene, IT); Centre d’Art Contemporain (Geneva, CH); Gessnerallee (Zürich, CH), Archivio Conz (Berlin, DE); Palais de Tokyo (Paris, FR).In 2023 he was nominated for the second round of Swiss Art Awards and in 2021 for the second round of Kiefer/Hablitzel Prize. In 2021 he was selected for the Biennale College Arte. Belloni has been fellow 2023/24 of Istituto Svizzero in Rome.
