Published on the occasion of the fifth edition of the Officine Saffi Award, the volume collects the documentation and in-depth view of the exhibition “(un)Known Territories,” featuring the ceramic works of the thirty-two finalist artists selected by an international jury. Experimenting with a new approach in the form of storytelling, each artist is presented through an informal conversation conducted via chat with various professional figures involved at Officine Saffi who contributed to the realization of this edition. The series of conversations, accompanied by a rich collection of images, combines personal and professional themes, allowing the reader to briefly enter the lives and work of the artists, discovering details that would otherwise go unnoticed.
The publication features the voices, work, and images of Carolina Raquel Antich, Andres Anza, Funda Baysal, Dorete Bendixen, Burçak Bingöl, Heidi Bjørgan, Laura Borghi, Javier Bravo De Rueda, Koos Buster, Matteo Buoso, Kaiting Chan, Eugenio Crifò, Tessa Eastman, Ion Fukazawa, Azadeh Heidari, Hanna Heino, Geertje Jacobs, Gitte Jungersen, Jihyun Kim, Chryssa Kotoula, Maria Adelaide Marchesoni, Eleonora Marchi, Martina Marchi, François Mellé, Hanna Miadzvedzeva, Effe Minelli, Matteo Naggi, Irene Nordli, Angel Oloshove, Arianna Pinna, Carlo Pecorari, Héloïse Piraud, Irina Razumovskaya, Davide Ronco, Federico Rusticali, Sara Scalzotto, Ioana Maria Sisea, Sissi, Carl Richard Söderström, Koen Taselaar, Willem Van Hooff, Alessandra Vinci, Kim Wawer, Zoe Williams, Floris Wubben, Bettina Willner-Browne, Bari Ziperstein.
