Workshop. Light it up: ceramic table lamp
This workshop explores the fundamentals of ceramic work through the making of a table lamp built using the coiling technique. Each participant will be guided in giving shape to their own aesthetic vision and design, drawing inspiration from their personal references and or design forms of the past and present. In the first part of the day, coiling and pinching techniques will be used to build the body of the lamp, while the afternoon will be dedicated to finishing and constructing the housings for the lamp holder and cable.
At the end of the workshop, participants can choose from five different ceramic glaze options, which will then be applied to the sculptures by our skilled ceramics technicians.
The workshop requires no previous experience in ceramic modelling and is open to beginners as well as intermediate and advanced practitioners.
